Mary, Jesus and Christianity: An Islamic Perspective | 3rd edition
44 pages
This book was first published in Catholics and Shi‘a in Dialogue: Studies in Theology and Spirituality edited by Anthony O’Mahony, Wulstan Peterburs and Mohammad Ali Shomali (London: Melisende, 2004 & 2011) and then, with slight changes, was published independently by the Institute of Islamic Studies, London. It is hoped that this publication may serve as a humble means to bring even closer the followers of two great world religions: Islam and Christianity who constitute half of the world’s population. To this end, efforts have been made to present a brief and precise picture of Mary and Jesus in Islam and to explain why Muslims and Christians should engage in genuine and productive dialogue.
