This book contains eleven chapters. In these chapters, some of the major aspects of the subject of imamate are addressed. Efforts have been made to clearly explain every idea and to back up each claim with evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. To show that the doctrine of imamate is an Islamic idea and agreeable to all Muslims, narrations (hadiths) from major references of hadith of Sunni Muslims, such as six Ṣaḥīḥs or Musnad of Imam Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal are cited. For maximum accuracy, in addition to English translation, Arabic texts of the hadiths are also cited so that our dear readers who know Arabic can examine them by themselves.
